Newly graduated Harvard University student Julie Hartman has signed a deal with Salem Media Group. The agreement involves work with the company's Podcast and Radio Networks and the Salem News Channel.

La Llorona, or the “Weeping Woman,” is a tragic figure whose tale can be traced back for centuries. Now, Uforia Audio Network presents a new podcast of the same name which explores the legend. The four-part series is hosted in English by Dafnne Wejebe Iberri.

On Wednesday, the House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology passed the PIRATE Act. The "Preventing Illegal Radio Abuse Through Enforcement Act’’ calls for an increased penalty of up to $2,000,000 for anyone convicted of operating a pirate station. The bill moves to the full House Energy and Commerce Committee for a vote.

Chris Hernandez has been promoted to Operations Manager in Phoenix and Daniel Valentine moves up as Music Director. Hernandez joined the Phoenix group in 2007, Valentine has been in the 'Valley of the Sun' market since 2016.

The Radio Advertising Bureau, in conjunction with BMI and the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio Group, have completed the tenth annual Rising Through the Ranks Women in Radio Management & Leadership Training Program. Thirty-one scholarship recipients made the trip to the BMI Offices last week.
