Cumulus Media's Wilmington, NC cluster has rallied its listeners to raise $70,528 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The 26th Annual Cumulus Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon saw the group's five stations unite over 26 continuous hours.
El Zol Shines In DC To Benefit The Kids of St. Jude’s
Audacy Washington DC's El Zol 107.9 (WLZL) raised $181,726 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during a one-day radiothon on June 14. The Hispanic radio station has now contributed more than $2.4 million to the organization since 2016.
WZYP Collects Over 100 Turkeys
Cumuls Media's Huntsville-based top 40 radio station WZYP (104.3 FM) collected more than 100 turkeys during its first-annual Tory's Turkey Drop event on Monday, November 14. The turkeys were handed out to over 100 families in 18 minutes.
Portland Station Collects $301,000 for St. Jude
Alpha Media's Portland country station KUPL (98.7 FM, The Bull) collected more than $301,000 for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital during a recent radiothon. The amount collected by KUPL on-air talent and staffers broke the station's record.
