With just six weeks until the 2024 election, political ad spending is expected to surpass that of the 2020 race. Specifically on the presidential side, ad spend could reach $10 billion, with much of the spending backloaded into the final 60 days and radio could grab real cash.

Music Streamers Protest Radio Subsidy Under New Canadian Law
Music Canada and the Digital Media Association have voiced strong opposition to new Canadian regulations that require streaming services to financially support local radio. Under a 2023 law, 1.5% of select streaming revenue would go towards local radio station support.

Binnie Media's Maine radio stations, 107.5 Frank FM and 99.9 The Wolf, helped the 16th Annual Dempsey Challenge raise $1,773,349, with nearly 2,500 participants taking part both in-person and virtually. The event took place on September 21 in Lewiston.
