Pandora has launched eight new stations from artists who have hit one billion streams. The 'Billionaires' stations cover key genres: Pop, Country, Hip Hop, Alternative, Dance, Classic Rock, R&B and Hard Rock.

Spike Eskin is leaving his role as Vice President of Programming at New York's WFAN and CBS Sports Radio to return to Philadelphia. Eskin will team up with Ike Reese and Jack Fritz for afternoons on SportsRadio 94WIP.

One radio station has chronicled the Little League World Series in Williamsport for 72 years. NewsRadio 1400 AM WRAK, now owned by iHeartmedia. The combination of WRAK and its iHeart Williamsport sister stations – Bill 95.5/95.3 FM and 102.7 KISS-FM – will offer exclusive U.S. radio play-by-play coverage of all 32 games of the Series, scheduled for Aug. 16-26.

Longtime GSM Kevin Neathery passed away on September 27, in Tyler, TX. Neathery's career in radio sales and advertising strategies spanned several decades across Arkansas and Texas. He was most recently with Reynolds Radio Group.

...Or is it Buzz? Kevin Klein, who begins hosting mornings on 97.3 The Game in San Diego Thursday, sent out a tweet that included a picture of the Coronado bridge, followed by:  “JUMP … to a new morning show." And that has some in the San Diego community outraged.

Compass Media Networks has promoted Liane Sousa to Director of Affiliate Sales. Sousa will continue to be based out of New York and manage and affiliate content partnerships for Compass syndicated programs. 

Cumulus has appointed Mary Baxter GSM for KLOS-FM and KABC in Los Angeles. Baxter joins Cumulus from Crossroads WOW, where she was Regional Sales Director. Previously, she was LSM for CBS Radio’s 97.1 AMP (KAMP-FM) in L.A. She also spent 16 years at KIIS-FM for Clear Channel/iHeart Media-Los Angeles.

The Museum of Broadcast Communications announced a new exhibit for the museum called A Century of Radio. It opens October 28th, the same day as the museum's 2021 Radio Hall of Fame Induction.

The New York Times and Serial Productions have announced a new five-part podcast titled The Retrievals. The narrative series focuses on patients at the Yale Fertility Center who complained of severe pain until a shocking discovery was made.

Beasley Media CFO Caroline Beasley told investors Friday that of the seven markets Beasley reports to Miller Kaplan, Charlotte and Las Vegas were the biggest underperformers.
