Longtime General Sales Manager Kevin Neathery passed away on September 27, in Tyler, TX. Neathery’s career in radio sales and advertising strategies spanned several decades across Arkansas and Texas.
Neathery was most recently associated with Reynolds Radio Group, where he was General Sales Manager for more than seven years. Before that, he served as the General Sales Manager for Saga Communications in Arkansas and Jonesboro Radio Group for nearly 14 years. He was awarded Saga Sales Manager Of The Year in 2008. Those who remember Neathery remember his ability to identify, recruit, and train sales talent.
He was also an occasional contributor to Radio Ink.
Bill Pressly, who worked with Neathery in the past, told Radio Ink, “I had the pleasure to work with Kevin at KNIN in Wichita Falls, TX from ’86-’90 and later in Jonesboro, AR with The Jonesboro Radio Group and later Saga Communications. Kevin saved our sinking ship in 1995, shortly after we formed The Jonesboro Radio Group…Kevin was the most brilliant sales mind I have ever met!”
