The new year will bring a new radio station to Albany, Georgia. Q-102, The Queen Bee, is shooting for a January 6, 2020 launch from studios being built inside of a brewery.

Today, the Broadcasters Foundation of America is launching "12 Days of Giving," a holiday-themed social media campaign. This initiative will feature daily messages, including notes of gratitude from grant recipients helped by the BFoA.

Thanks to a gift from Nexstar Media, the parent company of WGN Radio, a 70- year swath of the radio station’s audio archive now resides at Northwestern University  Libraries in the Charles Deering McCormick Library of Special Collections and  University Archives. 

Chicago media writer Robert Feder took to his blog Tuesday to tell readers he will no longer be publishing Chicago radio station revenue numbers. And he's blaming it on a market manager who he says complained to the accounting firm that Feder was publishing his declining numbers.

Sun Broadcast Group announced that their weekend country dance show, Country Fried Mix with DJ Sinister, has launched  Country Fried Quick Mix -- 10-minute, daily mixes available immediately. To celebrate the launch of the CFM Quick Mix, Sun Broadcast Group is offering stations a Fourth of July edition totally commercial free.

The National Association of Broadcasters is offering the 2022 Election Toolkit. The online resource provides local radio and television broadcasters with ideas and information on how to cover the 2022 local, state and federal elections.
