The new year will bring a new radio station to Albany, Georgia. Q-102, The Queen Bee, is shooting for a January 6, 2020 launch from studios being built inside of a brewery.
The station will be a cooperative effort with the Pretoria Fields Collective, an organic farming and brewing operation. Pretoria Fields Collective’s Dr. Tripp Morgan and the cooperative recently purchased the 102.1 FM dial space from Cumulus.
Tara Dyer Stoyle will be the radio station’s manager. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the business. She told the Albany Herald, “There is a lot of excitement about the station in the community. I think this area is ready for the kind of station we plan to bring them.”
