(by Buzz Knight) I've just wrapped up another trip to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and as always, I have some final thoughts to take back to our audio business. The number one takeaway that comes out of my trip to CES is the reinforcement of the theme of innovation. Everywhere you look, touch, and smell at the event evokes this notion. The event has an optimistic edge unlike anything I have ever felt before at any event.

Cumulus Media Boise's KBOI-AM, in collaboration with the US Marine Corps Reserve, just completed “Idaho’s Largest Toy Drive” for the seventh year in a row. The event set new records by collecting over 34,257 toys, more than 200 bicycles, and $63,336 in cash.

Tom Kief of the 95 WIIL Rock morning show has once again helped raise money to fight childhood cancer. The co-host of Tom & Emily Morning Show raised more than $15,000 to help the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

Saga's WYND-FM and WOGK-FM in Ocala recently hosted their 23rd Annual Stop Children’s Cancer Bearathon and raised a record $151,200, over $20,000 more than last year.

Los Angeles’ KFI AM 640 received seven of the top Radio News Awards, January 19, at the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California’s 69th Golden Mike Awards.

They've been losing money for years and now with an owner nobody can find, and bills left unpaid, five Sarnac Lake radio stations will be auctioned off in two weeks. The Saranac Lake Radio Company, which celebrated 90 years in September, and was the voice of the community, is a shell of the radio company it once was and is hardly broadcasting today.

The Radio Television Digital News Association has submitted a legal request to the US District Court of Washington D.C., seeking live audio and video coverage of the scheduled March 2024 trial related to January 6th activities involving former President Donald Trump.

Saga Communications has forged a partnership with FOX Sports Radio that culminated in this week's launch of Charlottesville's FOX Sports 102.9 FM and 1450 AM (WVAX-AM). The station will air the full network line-up of FOX Sports Radio's programs.
