iHeartMedia New York's 710 WOR is bringing aboard Emmy Award-winning journalist Larry Mendte as the station's news director. Mendte will also join Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning as the show's news anchor.

It was another sold out Smart Money event for nationally syndicated radio talk show host and best-selling author, Dave Ramsey. This time he was represented by one of his team, Chris Hogan, in Indianapolis on Thursday, September 21, at the Old National Centre.

Maxwell Schaeffer has been named Director of Promotions and Marketing for iHeartMedia Des Moines, effective August 10. Schaeffer will also make on-air appearances across all Des Moines stations.

Tim Spence is the new Director of Sports Operations for KTFM/KZDC, San Antonio Sports Star, 94.1 FM, 1250 AM. Spence was PD for KHOW, KCOL, and APD for KOA in Denver. He was also affiliate relations manager for the 140 station network for the Broncos and Rockies. 

ENCO has appointed broadcast industry veteran John Casey as Director of Sales. He will report to ENCO President Ken Frommert. Casey has spent the last 20 years with NewBay Media (recently acquired by Future plc), where he spent the majority of his time leading Radio World newspaper.

Len Mead will join the VSiN, The Sports Betting Network team as General Manager. Mead joins VSiN from PointsBet, where he was VP of Content.

It's a homecoming for Chris Stigall as he joins the KCMO line-up 10 to Noon. Stigall hosted mornings on the KC talker from 2006-2010.

Magic 105.3 (KSMG/Seguin-San Antonio) has brought in Tony Cortez for the 7 p.m.-midnight slot. He has more than 25 years’ broadcast experience. Cortez calls San Antonio home.

Service Broadcasting (owner of K104 FM in Dallas) and DeDe McGuire are launching nationally, with Compass Media Networks managing the syndication, starting in July. McGuire has hosted her own morning show for five years now. She's no stranger to syndication, having served as co-host of The Doug Banks Show for over 10 years.

77 WABC in New York has signed a new deal with Rita Cosby, making her the station’s Political Editor, just in time for the election of a new President.
