Arrest Made After Former Host Killed

Police in Gary, IN say a person of interest is in custody after former radio talk show host Velia Taneff and her daughter were killed. ABC 7 reports that 64-year old Lana Taneff was found dead in the family's home and her mother, 86-year-old Velia was found at her rental property next door.

Paul Sferruzza, known as Tank of Boston, died peacefully in his home in Dover, NH at the age of 67, last week after a period of declining health. His radio career radio started in 1977 when he volunteered to answer the "listener line" at WBCN Radio.

Graham Media Group CEO Emily Barr will receive the 2018 Golden Mike Award from the Broadcasters Foundation of America on March 5, 2018, at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
