iHeartMedia Denver has hired Marty Lenz as new morning co-host for KOA NewsRadio. Colorado’s Morning News with April Zesbaugh & Marty Lenz will air weekdays from 5 until 10 a.m. MT as of January 8. Lenz replaces Steffan Tubbs, who was let go in August after a domestic violence charge.

Columbus Radio Vet Val McGuinness Dies

Columbus radio personality Patrick Valére McGinness — known across the Columbus airwaves simply as Val — was pronounced dead late Wednesday morning at his north Columbus apartment. According to the Ledger-Enquirer he was 67 and died of natural causes.

KHTK Sacramento Adds ‘Deuce & Mo’

Bonneville's Sacramento sports outlet KHTK (1140 AM, Sactown Sports) has hired a pair of on-air talent from NBC Sports for a new local show. The program, Deuce & Mo, began airing on KHTK this Monday and is hosted by Sacramento Kings broadcaster Deuce Mason and NBC Sports California host Morgan Ragan.
