Sony Music Entertainment’s Global Podcast Division has formed a podcast partnership with film critic Mark Kermode and movie fanatic Simon Mayo. "Kermode and Mayo's Take" will be a twice weekly podcast series focusing on theatrical, streaming and physical film releases.

CRS is now accepting nominations for the Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award, which is awarded to someone who works in the country radio industry and who espouses the values of generosity, caring and community service.

Chief Operating Officer Warren Lada will retire from Saga Communications at the end of June. CEO Ed Christian said, "Warren has been an integral part of Saga for the past 27 years and we will deeply miss his contributions to Saga and its radio stations across the U.S."

77-year old Harry Hamm was arrested in April, charged with possession of child pornography, by St. Louis County. He plead not guilty to those charges in May. The feds slapped him with additional charges in August. On Tuesday he plead not guilty to the federal charges.

Westwood One will be broadcasting the upcoming NCAA Men’s Final Four in Spanish, the championship’s first-ever Spanish language broadcast on any platform. The event will be produced by Westwood One an ESPN Deportes. The trio of Rafael Hernández Brito, Greivis Vásquez, and Clemson Smith Muñiz will announce all the action.

Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio says it has launched a new mentoring program called Speak Up! The program was created in partnership with Media Staffing Network Founder and CEO Laurie Kahn prior to her passing in late October.

Country Radio Seminar is bringing back the 16-player Ping Pong Tournament, “Paddle Royale,” to its after-hours schedule on Thursday, February 24. The event will feature top Country artists and prominent names in music programming competing for bragging rights and a championship trophy.

According to the family, a memorial service will be held for Dwight Case at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 26 at Bel Air Presbyterian. The family is asking friends to consider a donation to The Broadcasters Foundation in Case's name rather than sending flowers. Case died earlier this month.

The Consumer Electronics Show begins Wednesday in Las Vegas. Radio Ink, along with several other radio companies, are sponsoring a reception for radio attendees at CES this Thursday.

The November 2nd Country Music Concert is called “Stars and Strings” and it will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL. Performers include Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Old Dominion, Randy Houser, Elle King, and Dustin Lynch.
