Each April and November, the Travis Manion Foundation organizes Operation Legacy Service Projects, which unites communities for a common cause through volunteer-led service opportunities.
Sherman Kizart’s Term Extended At FCC
Kizart has been re-appointed to the FCC’s Advisory Committee on Diversity and Digital Empowerment. This is a two-year term and expands on his initial appointment received in 2017.
Le Batard Show Returns To Studio
ESPN's syndicated Dan Le Batard Show, which is based in Miami, will broadcast from its studio for the first time in nearly three months starting today. Like most other radio shows the Le Batard crew has been doing the show remotely.
Zach Sang Relaunches…on Amazon
A former syndicated host launches on the new Amazon app. Zach Sang launched on AMP this week. The show is being produced in Hollywood. Westwood One dropped Sang back in January. Sang was syndicated for 10 years and heard in 80 markets at one time.
NCAA Final Four Once Again In Spanish
Westwood One, in alliance with ESPN Deportes Radio, will broadcast college basketball’s showcase in Spanish for the third consecutive year. The trio of Rafael Hernández Brito, former All-American Greivis Vásquez, and Clemson Smith Muñiz will once again announce all the action.
SoundExchange To Appeal New Web Rates
This one will come as no surprise. Although nothing has been filed with the court yet, SoundExchange has stated it plans to appeal the recently approved CRB webcasting rates that went into effect this past January.

Audio 1 has acquired the national distribution rights for the syndicated Mason Dixon Generation 80’s music show. A staple of Tampa's Q105 (WRBQ) radio, the program features nostalgic tunes on a backdrop of Mason Dixon's behind-the-scenes tales.
Researcher Ivey Joins Edison
Longtime radio research executive Laura Ivey has joined Edison Research. Ivey, who has had a variety of roles at Arbitron and Nielsen dating back to 1996, most recently was Account Director for the Southeast region for Nielsen’s radio ratings.
Smith Joins ESPNEWS Simulcast
ESPN continues on down the simulcast road, and on Monday, August 13, at 1 p.m. ET, ESPN Radio’s weekday The Stephen A. Smith Show will join Golic and Wingo, The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, and The Will Cain Show on ESPNEWS, making the network the TV home of all four of ESPN’s weekday national radio simulcasts.
