The 44th Annual National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters event will be held virtually October 14-16. The Conference will be held jointly with the U.S. Black Chambers and Power of Urban Radio forum.

The Johnjay & Rich syndicated show has raised more than $50,000 to provide free lunches to workers across the Phoenix area. The Johnjay & Rich #LoveUp Foundation is providing financial support to provide nearly 5,000 free lunches.

The Library of American Broadcasting Foundation, in collaboration Broadcast Education Association, is offering a scholarship for a graduate student. The $3,000 scholarship will be given to support the student's continuing studies and dissertation in broadcast history.

Nathan Simington, a Republican, is currently a Senior Advisor in the National Telecommunications and Information Administration specializing in network and telecommunications policy. If confirmed, Simington would take Commissioner Michael O’Rielly's seat.

Santa Monica public station KCRW-FM is eliminating 28 jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The station is expecting a 30% reduction in its operating budget due to a big drop in corporate sponsorships.

The staff at Sun Broadcasting's 93X were called in at 11AM and notified they were no longer needed as the station flipped to Trump Country. There are already two country stations in the market (iHeart and Renda). Sun is using a Trump impersonator as its announcer for now. LISTEN

Power 93.5 (KDGS-FM) morning co-host Greg "The Hitman" Williams is expected to be back on the air soon. He was recently released from the hospital where he battled COVID-19 and pneumonia.
