Since 1987 The Crystal's have been honoring stations that perform outstanding community service. 50 finalists are chosen and there are 10 winners. Entry submissions must be received by January 29. Winners are announced at the NAB Show Radio Luncheon, held Tuesday, April 19 in Las Vegas.

Second Translator Auction Underway

Ronald Unkefer at First Ventures tells Radio Ink his second auction for FM translators at FMTranslatorAuction.com began yesterday and there are about a dozen new listings. Prices have been reduced on several of the FM translators and bidding has been made easier. The auction ends at 3 p.m. CST Wednesday. Minimum bids are now as low as $22,500 each. “Buy Now” prices are also available.

That's what SunTrust Robinson Humphrey analyst Robert Peck speculated in Investors Business Daily Monday as SunTrust lowered its rating on Pandora stock to neutral from buy and lowered its price target on Pandora stock to 15 from 18. It was Pandora's second price-target cut and rating downgrade in less than two weeks.

Entercom Rebrands To ’80s In Miami

Calling it the "All New 102.7 The Beach," Entercom is relaunching its classic hits station in South Florida. The station will now feature artists such as Pet Shop Boys, Madonna, Duran Duran, Prince, Blondie, Guns and Roses, and others. The station has been playing some form of classic hits for over 25 years, with some songs as far back as the '50s and '60s.
