The two companies announced a new deal that will include broadcasts of Westwood One’s NFL games on KGMZ AM and FM (The Game) in San Francisco. As part of the agreement, which is exclusive to the Bay Area market, coverage of select regular season and postseason games, including Super Bowl LIII, will be heard on both stations.

The NAB show, set to begin later this month in Vegas, will have over 200 companies that are exhibiting for the first time. Some of the new companies to set up on the 1 million-plus square feet of exhibit floor include Google, Vimeo, and TiVo, among others. The 2017 NAB Show, April 22-27, will feature over 1,700 companies, including 751 international exhibitors.

Alpha Revenue Up Slightly

The company which owns over 200 stations in 44 markets recently filed its court required monthly report for April. With revenue of $13.5 million, Alpha saw an increase of about 2.4% over March. The company reported a loss of $892,000 for the month.

The folks at Progressive clearly appreciate the value of advertising with radio. The insurance giant is once again top of the Media Monitors list of leading advertisers on radio around the nation, running a total of 49,677 ads last week.
