On Monday FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai praised radio and TV broadcasters for continuing to inform the public during the coronavirus crisis. He specifically highlighted the PSA's stations were airing, COVID-19 reporting and the fundraising being done for those hardest hit by the pandemic.

Nielsen Shuts Down Council For Research Excellence ​

It was an organization the ratings firm established in 2005 to provide clients with a forum to drive research and improve audience measurement. A Nielsen spokesman told Radio Ink Tuesday it is ending its funding to the Council. Nielsen was pumping over $2 million a year into the organization.
