Keith Raad is expected to join WCBS-AM and broadcaster Howie Rose for coverage of the New York Mets. The New York Post reported Raad, who still has to be approved by the Mets, would replace Wayne Randazzo, who left in December for a TV gig.

CBS Radio President and CEO Andre Fernandez has been selected by FCC Chairman Ajit Pai to serve on the Commission’s Advisory Committee on Diversity and Digital Empowerment. The ACDDE’s mission is to provide recommendations to the FCC on how to empower disadvantaged communities and accelerate the entry of small businesses into the media, digital news and information, and audio and video programming industries. 

Sheryl Personett is the new Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing Solutions for Entravision in Denver. Personett will be responsible for selling Entravision’s media and marketing solutions across the company’s television, radio, and digital properties in that market.

WDWS, Champaign, IL host Jim Turpin died Sunday at the age of 90. Turpin called Illini football and men’s basketball for 42 years, retiring from the booth in 2002. He was VP/GM of WDWS and WHMS in Champaign and for years hosted WDWS’ “Penny For Your Thoughts” through 2017.

After a 30-year tenure as the radio voice of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bill Hillgrove has declared his retirement. Hillgrove's broadcasting career is deeply rooted in Pittsburgh, where he grew up and honed his on-air skills with Pitt football and basketball.

The Dave Ramsey Show is kicking off 2018 with the announcement that it has just added its 600th affiliate after clearing KSFO-AM in San Francisco. The station will air the program from 6p.m. to 9p.m. PD Mike Anthony said, “Dave’s daily contribution to improving listeners’ financial lives is a key reason he is now part of the very powerful 560 KSFO lineup.”

Minnesota Public Radio "The Current" has hired Ayisha Jaffer as a new host. Jaffer joins the station as an evening host from WNXP in Nashville where she hosted middays and served as Assistant Program Director.

'The Book of Bob' is the second book to be released by the nationally syndicated morning show. The book, from Now! Media is a collection of co-host Bob Lacey comments and observations during Lacey's 30-year radio journey.

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation has a news slate of officers and directors. Maxwell King was elected Board Chairman.
