The Chicago news station has promoted Nick Gale to News Director. Gale will continue in his role as News Anchor for Morning Drive, a position he's held since 2020. He replaces John Dempsey who retired at the end of 2020.

Cumulus Nashville has promoted Lori Tournay Liggett to GSM for its music stations, including Country stations WKDF and WSM-FM, in addition to WQQK. Liggett has more than 27 years’ experience in promotions, sales, and management. She joined Cumulus Nashville in 2015 as GSM for WQQK.

Beasley Media Group have announced that T Gentry will be returning home as Operations Manager and Program Director of Kicks 99 for the company’s Augusta-based cluster on Monday, December 18. Gentry spent the past three years serving as Beasley's Tampa Operations Manager and Program Director at 99.5 WQYK-FM.

After eight years at AlwaysMountainTime's KSPN-FM and KNFO, Jim Williams is leaving his position covering Colorado high school sports to head east. Williams trades Aspen, Basalt, and Roaring Fork for Batesville, IN, to take the sports director role at Leeson Media's WRBI.

The Native American Journalists Association presented more than 230 awards recognizing the best coverage of Indian Country during the 2019 NAJA National Native Media Awards Banquet at the Mystic Lake Center in Prior Lake, MN.

Bonneville’s News and Sports station KTAR (Phoenix) is adding a local evening news-driven talk show, Reality Check with Darin Damme, on January 3. Damme, who started in radio at the age of 12 at KMOG in Payson, is a former highly-rated Top 40 morning show host on KZZP and KZON in Phoenix.

NPR’s Keith Woods has been promoted from his current position of Vice President of Newsroom Training and Diversity to the newly created position of Chief Diversity Officer. 

Vanessa Wojtusiak has been named VP of Marketing for iHeartMedia in Hartford and New Haven. Wojtusiak joins iHeartMedia Connecticut from WTNH-TV.

Jackson was named the new Operations Manager for Top 40 KZIA and Sports Talk KGYM. He'll also program KZIA. Jackson worked the night shift at KZIA from 2004 to 2011. He was also APD/MD at CBS Radio Alternative KXTE in Las Vegas and Hot AC KHMX in Houston.

Donovan Reynolds, President and General Manager of Louisville Public Media since 2006, will retire from his position on September 30. He told the staff and board in meetings Thursday afternoon. LPM is home to 89.3 WFPL, Louisville’s NPR news station, and the Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting; 91.9 WFPK Radio Louisville; and Classical 90.5 WUOL.
