WNYC Host Richard Hake Dies
The New York City station announced HERE
that Hake died of natural causes. Hake worked at WNYC for nearly 30 years as a host, reporter, and producer. He was also the host of Morning Edition. Hake was 51.
Veteran DJ Jerry Bishop Passes
Art Vuolo reports that Veteran DJ and VO legend Jerry Bishop passed away this week. Bishop had been hospitalized for several weeks. Using the name Bill Bishop, Jerry worked at San Diego’s KCBQ in 1963. He came to L.A. in 1965 to work at KLAC.
Vin Scully Recovering From Fall
The longtime Dodger broadcaster, who's 92, fell in his California home this week. In a statement released by the team, Scully said, "I won't be doing anymore headfirst sliding." Scully broadcast Dodger games for 67 years and retired in 2016.

EMF Creates New Role To Oversee Radio Brands
Educational Media Foundation has created a new position called First Chief Content Officer. Jim Houser has been hired to fill that role and will oversee the company's two radio brands, KLOVE and Air1. Houser will report directly to CEO Bill Reeves.
