The NAB Education Foundation is currently accepting applications for two leadership development programs: Broadcast Leadership Training and the Executive Development Seminar. The BLT program is designed to prepare senior-level broadcasters to advance into ownership or executive positions. EDS provides broadcast managers and professionals with tools to increase managerial effectiveness and advance career opportunities.

Salem Media Group, announced Monday that Bill Bennett will step back from the microphone in hosting Bill Bennett's Morning in America program starting Monday, April 4. Bennett will maintain his presence in the morning by shifting to Senior Correspondent, producing a daily Making America Work series.

Alan Furst is the new program director at Entercom's News 98.1fm KMBZ and KMBZ-AM (Talk 980); he'll be taking the reins on Monday, February 15.

The winners of the third annual Westwood One Super Bowl Sound Awards were Motel 6 and Service King. Westwood asked listeners to vote on their favorite audio commercials airing in the Westwood One Super Bowl 50 broadcast. In addition, Westwood One commissioned a Nielsen study of 3,030 consumers who rated all 45 commercials on a series of key attributes.

Beasley Media Group has appointed Steve Griesbach as Director of Engineering for its Las Vegas cluster. Griesbach is a Wisconsin native, who brings nearly three decades of radio engineering experience to Beasley’s five Las Vegas stations.

iHeartMedia announced Monday that Travis Moon has been named Director of Country Operations for Austin-San Antonio Region, effective February 22, 2016. In his new role, Moon will oversee KASE 101 and 98.1 KVET-FM in Austin and KJ 97 and KPRT in San Antonio.

WTVR-FM, MIX 98.1, announced Monday that Anna Stavredes will join Jeff Wicker on MIX 98.1 weekdays from 5:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m. Stavredes comes to Richmond from Raleigh, NC, where she recently worked at 94.7 WQDR.

In something of a dynasty shift, Walgreens held onto Media Monitors’ top spot this week with 48,150 radio ads nationwide, while perennial advertising titan The Home Depot plummeted from 7th position all the way to number 50.

Country station KSSN 96, Arkansas, announced Monday that popular Little Rock radio personality Ashley King will join their on-air programming lineup, effective immediately.
