Many shows ultimately succeed or fail based on their first 60-90 days. For a brand new show, benchmarks are a clear, simple way to introduce the players and what the show is about. The best benchmarks are based on relevant, common-ground subjects that the audience is already interested in.

iHeartMedia has renewed the contract with syndicated morning man Elvis Duran. It's a new 5-year deal which will keep Duran at WHTZ-FM in New York City. He's also heard on 80 stations across the country. Duran will also collaborate with iHeart on a several joint ventures and events, including hosting the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York City.

United Stations Radio Networks announced Thursday that it has struck a deal with air personality Joe Breezy to take over as host of its weekly CHR and Hot AC program Celebrity Top Ten Countdown. The show was formerly hosted by Jackson Blue, whose schedule has become too jammed for him to continue in the role.
