Many shows ultimately succeed or fail based on their first 60-90 days. For a brand new show, benchmarks are a clear, simple way to introduce the players and what the show is about. The best benchmarks are based on relevant, common-ground subjects that the audience is already interested in.  

With 20 years of sales experience in radio, Entercom found their man in Michael De Amicis. He will handle sales for WBT, WLNK, and WFNZ.  De Amicis previously served as the General Sales Manager for Radio One in Atlanta, where he oversaw the local sales force and spearheaded the national sales effort.

Veteran morning host Bo Thompson has landed a multi-year contract extension with Entercom Charlotte’s News 1110-AM, 99.3-FM WBT. Thompson is host of Charlotte’s Morning News, weekdays from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thompson began his career at WBT in 1990. He is a Charlotte native.

Nonetheless, radio broadcasters continue to be exceedingly catered to by the NAB, in sessions and on the exhibit floor. Felo Ramirez is the Spanish-language play-by-play host for Major League Baseball's Florida Marlins. The Miami Herald is reporting the 93-year old is recovering in a Delaware hospital after a fall from the team bus and was bleeding from the back of his head

iHeartMedia has renewed the contract with syndicated morning man Elvis Duran. It's a new 5-year deal which will keep Duran at WHTZ-FM in New York City. He's also heard on 80 stations across the country. Duran will also collaborate with iHeart on a several joint ventures and events, including hosting the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York City.

United Stations Radio Networks announced Thursday that it has struck a deal with air personality Joe Breezy to take over as host of its weekly CHR and Hot AC program Celebrity Top Ten Countdown. The show was formerly hosted by Jackson Blue, whose schedule has become too jammed for him to continue in the role. 

Seton Hall University’s student-run WSOU 89.5 FM revamped and expanded its mentoring program this past academic year, a fact made obvious when students Nick Durant and Tim Bonomo were accompanied by WSOU alumnus, mentor and retired WCBS-FM music director Richard Lorenzo to observe the operations of CBS Radio in New York City.

The revenue number for the quarter for SiriusXM was $1.3 billion. CEO Jim Meyer said, "Once again, we are demonstrating the scalability and strength of SiriusXM's unique business model and the robust consumer demand for our very special content bundle."
