Saga Ashville Host Battling Cancer
WISE-AM Ashville, NC Sports Talker Pat Ryan was first diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer back in 2018. After 6 months of chemo he moved to immunotherapy. Earlier this month, as ABC-TV points out in this story, the cancer returned to where more chemo was needed.
The Hurricane Blows Into West Palm
Alpha Media, West Palm Beach, changed WMEN from Fox Sports 640 to 640 The Hurricane over the holiday weekend. The station will still be an all-sports Fox affiliate, but the station now says it will "carry more edge and attitude."
Kramer Lands Alpha San Jose GSM Job
Alpha Media, San Jose, has named Daena Kramer General Sales Manager. Kramer started her radio career in Las Vegas with CBS Radio in 2007. As an account executive for CBS Las Vegas, Kramer led the cluster in digital revenue and new local business.
Buffalo Radio Icon Bill Lacy Retiring
Bill Lacy, one of Buffalo's longest running morning personalities, has announced his retirement from radio after a 50-year career. Lacy has anchored the Classic Hits 104.1 (WHTT-FM) morning show since joining the station in April 2002.

Former Miami Radio Host Dies
Hank Goldberg, known as Hammerin’ Hank, died at the age of 82 after battling chronic kidney disease. Goldberg worked in local radio in Miami, also for ESPN Radio and was a Miami Dolphins radio analyst for 25 years.
