Brian Orlando, morning man at Connoisseur Media’s 94.3 The Shark on Long Island is on a mission to help people struggling with depression. First Orlando wrote a song, after his hero Chris Cornell of Soundgarden took his own life in 2017.

2021 Crystal Radio Award Finalists
The NAB has announced the 52 finalists for the 2021 Crystal Radio Awards. WHUR-FM Washington, D.C. will be honored with the Crystal Heritage Award. The Howard University station will be recognized for winning a total of five Crystal Radio Awards. A virtual awards program is set for April 13.
ESPN Expands Sports Betting Portfolio
With March Madness on the horizon; ESPN is adding to its Daily Wager brand with a podcast and producing a series of radio specials. The Daily Wager Podcast debuts March 15 and the first of four Daily Wager Tournament Preview radio specials will air March 20.
IBS Honors For WHPC
WHPC 90.3 FM has picked up seven national awards from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System. The Voice of Nassau Community College was named Best Overall College Radio Station and Best Community College Radio Station.
