Samantha Max, criminal justice reporter for WPLN in Nashville, has been honored with a 2021 Daniel Schorr Journalism Award. Her investigative report on a systemic pattern of misconduct, silence and retaliation in the Nashville police department earned her the award.

Bill O'Reilly's 'No Spin News,' is now on 58 stations across the U.S. The one-hour weeknight show has been airing in New York on 77 WABC for over a year under the title ,i>'Common Sense with Bill O’Reilly'.

WMMR Philadephia Preston & Steve Show Morning Personality Kathy Romano hosted her 13th annual Kathy’s Cuts event to benefit Wigs for Kids. The event produced 68 hair donations to benefit the non-profit organization that helps children “look like themselves” and live their lives.

Former RAB Executive Mike Mahone had many friends in the radio industry. His memorial service will be Saturday, May 14 at 1 PM CDT. The service will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend. Mahone was 73 when he died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He also had Parkinson’s Disease for many years.

Channel 3 in Memphis is reporting that WDIA host Bobby O'Jay died while he was at the station Tuesday morning. Midday host Bev Johnson told the station when O’Jay would open the phone line at 9 a.m., the radio station was only playing music.

The National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters is asking members and colleagues within the broadcasting and media advertising industries to support the 2nd Annual General Motors Diverse Owned Media Summit. The summit is set for May 10 from 3-5 pm EST.

The Independent Broadcasters Association and Marketron have a new technology partnership agreement. The partnership will provide IBA members with access to technology to help them manage, grow and scale their organizations with solutions for linear and omnichannel advertising.
