Charles posted to his Facebook page that he's made the difficult decision not to renew his contract with Audacy and is stepping down as Brand Manager for news station KNX in Los Angeles and Format VP for Audacy.

The Sun Radio Recharge Program is back to help Operation Blue Santa with Christmas in July. As part of the program gas cards will be provided for Texas musicians and crew members for bands who are back out on the road.

Audacy Portland Operations Manager Mark Hamilton has been given an expanded role. He has been named Brand Manager for KITS-FM in San Francisco and for KNRK-FM in Portland.

Danny Marang is the new midday show co-host on KFXX-AM in Portland. Marang will join longtime station host Dusty Harrah on “Danny and Dusty,” from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.

JusNik has debuted on WBLS-FM, New York City. JusNik was born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens. She returns to NYC from WBHJ-FM in Birmingham, Alabama.

As soon as word got out there was a sniper shooting at residents from a building in Highland Park near Chicago during a 4th of July parade, the WGN radio team sprung into action to cover the breaking news and keep listeners informed.

This weekend the Minnesota Twins were in Chicago to play the White Sox. Radio play-by-play announcer Cory Provus, who's from Highland Park, was visiting his parents. Provus tells KARE-11 he once worked at a candy store near the area and expects he'll know people involved in the shooting because Highland Park is the kind of town everyone knows everyone. 

WBQB Fredericksburg, VA has reached the halfway mark of a weekly $1,000 giveaway that benefits local charities. The Centennial Broadcasting station gives half the amount to the drawing winner with the other half donated to charity.
