KERA, the PBS and NPR source for consumers in North Texas, is in the process of acquiring the Denton-Record Chronicle. Plans are in the works to complete the acquisition in 2023. The move is similar to one in Chicago involving the Chicago Sun-Times and the local NPR member station.
