SOS Radio and Hope for Prisoners hosted the 101 Christmases event in Las Vegas to help children with incarcerated parents. The initiative allowed more than 100 families to celebrate the holidays together.

Cox Media's adult contemporary station WSB (98.5 FM) collected more than 300 gifts for families in the Atlanta area. The gifts were fulfilled thanks to donations by listeners and a local pest control company. Families also received a $100 Publix gift card.
S&P: Radio Deals Topped $68 Million in Q3 2022
Radio broadcast deal volume reached $68.7 million during the third fiscal quarter of 2022, according to a report published by S&P Global Market Intelligence on Tuesday. Taken together with TV M&A, the broadcast industry saw more than $83 million in deals during Q3 2022.

The Center for Sales Strategy has named several radio executives among its 2022 Talent Superhero winners. The award winners include executives from iHeartMedia, Cox Media Group, Townsquare Media and Bonneville International, among others.
KLUC Toy Drive Gets $744,000
A recent charity event by Las Vegas top 40 station KLUC (98.5 FM) collected more than $744,000 and over 8,800 bikes for a local organization. The 24th Annual 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Show Toy Drive saw 42 Coca-Cola trucks filled with toys.
Inner Banks Media Collects $100,000 for Charity
Inner Banks Media stations in North Carolina collected more than $100,000 for charity during several recent events, including two radiothons in Greenville and Morehead, and a fundraiser concert called Christmas With the Embers held in Winterville.
Forcht Stations Collect Toys for Kentucky Families
More than 2,500 toys were handed out during the two-hour Christmas for the Mountains event, along with 750 meals that were distributed by C.A.N.E.S. Kitchen. Toy recipients were families devastated by a flash flood event in July.
Key Appoints Wilberding as President of Sales
Radio syndication firm Key Networks has appointed Jason Wilberding as its president of sales, a newly-created position for the company. Wilberding will oversee Key Networks’ ad sales team and work directly with Key Networks clients.
‘Mayor of Music Row’ Charlie Monk Dies at 84
Charlie Monk, a long-time country music publisher who had a two decade career on SiriusXM satellite radio, died this week at the age of 84. Monk co-founded the Country Radio Seminar and hosted the New Faces show at CRS more than 40 times.
New York Public Radio Announces New Board
New York Public radio announced the appointment of nine new members to its board of trustees on Tuesday, who will help oversee NYPR and its broadcast and digital properties, including WNYC (820 AM, 93.9 FM), Gothamist and New Jersey Public Radio.
