Chicago Talk radio station, WLS-AM 890, has partnered with the Chicago Automobile Trade Association to create a show all about the city’s storied car culture. DriveChicago, will air on WLS-AM 890 and at wlsam.com on Saturday mornings, 8-9 a.m. 

Litmus Music is a partnership between two music industry veterans and an investment capital company. Hank Forsyth and Dan McCarroll are teaming up with Carlyle Global Credit to acquire and manage music rights, including both music publishing and recorded music, across genres, geographies and vintages.

The Federal Communications Commission has proposed rules to improve the way the public receives emergency alerts on their phones, TV's and radios. The Commission also adopted a Notice of Inquiry to explore the technical feasibility of delivering EAS alerts via the Internet.

KRCL-FM, Salt Lake City's Community Radio Station, is turning 40 years old December 3. The station is northern Utah’s only 501(c)3 non-profit, member-supported community radio station.

As the country radio and music industries mourn the loss of Bill Mayne, the Academy of Country Music, Country Radio Broadcasters, and St. Jude are planning a special Celebration of Life. Mayne passed away in late November after battling a long-term illness.

NAB executive committee elections took place last week at the NAB Board of Directors meeting, in Washington, D.C. Beasley Media Group CEO Caroline Beasley was unanimously re-elected Joint Board chair while CMG President Kim Guthrie was re-elected to the Radio Board's major group representative seat.

The Chicago-Sun Times is reporting that the NFL's Chicago Bears will be looking for another station after the conclusion of this coming NFL season. The paper says Auadacy is losing money airing the games on WBBM-AM and WCFS-FM.

Sports station WCLY-AM in Raleigh will also be heard on 95.7 and rebranded "95.7 The Ticket." Capitol GM of Sports Radio Brian Maloney said, “We're in the business of providing sports content to our listeners and we deliver the content on numerous platforms. The addition of The Ticket on 95.7 FM fits perfectly with our other FM sports talk properties and digital initiatives."
