A 2022 campaign in New York City promoting the power of radio was a smashing success. That's according to new information from the New York State Broadcasters Association that was shared with the radio industry this week.

The sports betting category has become a very lucrative one for the radio industry. In New York, Congressman Paul Tonko has introduced the Betting On Our Future Act that would ban all online and electronic advertising of sports gambling. At least one radio organization in New York plans to fight Tonko on this.

Blarney Stone Broadcasting announced on Thursday that actor and comedian Chad Patterson is the new morning host on WQON-FM in Grayling, Michigan.
