The RAB has announced two dates for its National Radio Talent System. The Confer Radio Talent Institute at Bloomsburg University of PA will be held May 22 – 28, 2023 and the Kellar Radio Talent Institute at Appalachian State University will be June 5 – 14, 2023.

That's what the owner of Rich Broadcasting, Richard Mecham, told The Jackson Hole News and Guide. Mecham owes American Tower three year's worth of back tower rental fees but the two sides dispute how much should be paid.

Back in March we reported that former KFWR-FM Fort Worth host Justin Frazell was facing sexual assault accusations from a teen that allegedly took place at a New Years Eve party at his home. CBS TV is reporting Frazell is being accused of a second incident with the teen.

NRG Media in Omaha has flipped KOOO-FM 101.9 The Keg from Classic Rock to Adult Hits. The company is making the change after adding longtime programmer Jay Michaels.

The gloves are off between the NAB, which wants the FCC to reject Zonecasting, and GeoBroadcast Solutions, the company behind the technology that allows stations to hyper-target programming and advertising for up to five minutes an hour with FM boosters.

Tampa has not been a low maintenance market for Beasley Media. Of course there's the ratings tampering situation with Bubba The Love Sponge that sort of involved the company because Bubba was on their station. Now, an issue with a PPM panelist that Nielsen decided to remove from the panel that will affect Beasley's Hispanic station WYUU.

The company was looking at strong comps in January and February of 2020 before the bottom fell out in March when the pandemic grabbed the American way of life by the throat. In January and February revenue was down 21% compared to 2020. March revenue was up 3.9% over March 2020.

Apparently it offends the federal government, despite the fact that the federal government has licensed those call letters since 1947.
