The station raised $1.3 million for Children’s Hospital Colorado, part of the Children’s Miracle Network during Alice 105.9’s Cares for Kids Radiothon in Denver. The amount donated during the 20th annual radiothon brought the overall fundraising total to over $24 million since 2001.

The Golden State Warriors and Entercom’s 95.7 The Game (KGMZ-FM) in San Francisco have inked a new multi-year deal making the station the new flagship of the Warriors. The Warriors flagship station for each of the last 32 seasons, and for 40 seasons overall since the team moved to the West Coast in 1962, had been KNBR 680 AM.

Report Shows Big Impact Broadcasting Has On Economy

A new study by Woods & Poole Economics found that the local radio and TV generate $1.17 trillion of GDP and 2.47 million jobs through direct and stimulative effect on the economy. NAB made the announcement Thursday.

Nielsen Revenue Up 2.4% in Q2

Revenue for the quarter was $1.6 billion, however net income decreased 1.7% to $114 million. The company says that was mainly due to the impact of foreign exchange. Net income increased 3.6% on a constant currency basis. Audio revenues grew 1.7% on a reported and constant currency basis.
