WMAL/Washington, DC, morning co-host Mary Walter will once again anchor Fisher House Foundation’s 2019 edition of the Talk-radio special “The Fisher House Story – In Their Own Words.”
The Fisher House program provides “a home away from home” for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. The homes provide temporary free lodging so families can be close to their loved ones during a medical crisis.
The 3-hour, 1-hour, and 30-minute radio specials (available cash and barter free) will feature stories about the troops, the families who serve by their side, and how Fisher House plays a role in their journey.
“’The Fisher House Story’ talk show shares the inspiring stories of service members and veterans during Veterans Day and the holiday season,” said President of Fisher House Foundation Dave Coker. “Mary Walter skillfully guides us through these accounts.”
A clock and demo will be available by Oct. 4 at www.radio.fisherhouse.org. The show will be available for download Nov. 1 for potential airing Veterans Day weekend through the holiday season, into Memorial Day and 4th of July weekend at the same website.
