Adams Radio has launched a new Active Rock radio station “103.3 The Fort.” The name fits nicely since it is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The station launched at midnight on September 6. 

On Monday we reported on U.S. Representative Ted Deutch's appearance before the House Judiciary Committee to push the American Music Fairness Act which would require radio stations to pay artists to air their music. He's now going after the streaming companies.

Ele Ellis is the new content manager of WUMW 89.7 FM – Milwaukee’s NPR. Ellis has spent nearly two decades working in public radio. Prior to joining WUWM, Ellis was PD for WKSU in Kent, Ohio.

Even with this declining viewership, the four big networks and their affiliates were able to maintain their average unit rate. Reduced viewership combined with flat unit rates resulted in soaring TV costs-per-point. This made radio a cheaper alternative.
