After four years as a co-host on The View, Meghan McCain is stepping away from the television cameras to focus on podcasting. McCain is launching Citizen Cain Productions, a new production company aimed at generating podcasts, scripted, and documentary content.
The inaugural project from will be a podcast titled Meghan McCain Has Entered the Chat. Set to premiere on October 17, the podcast will air twice a week and later transform into a digital talk show. As the 2024 election approaches, McCain anticipates featuring more political guests on her podcast.
Citizen Cain Productions has a mission to tell female-led and American stories with several projects already in the pipeline. These include a docuseries on the Touchdowns and Tutus charity event in Ohio, a scripted film about adult industry entrepreneur Gail Thackray, and a documentary in partnership with Emmy-winning director Steven Leckart. McCain will also be developing an over-the-top reality show, although the subject matter remains undisclosed.
“I could not be more thrilled to announce the start of Citizen Cain Productions and with it my podcast Meghan McCain Has Entered the Chat,” said McCain. “Bringing women-led stories of all walks of life that are all too often dismissed has always been a dream of mine. I truly believe this opportunity will give a platform to those who haven’t had the chance to share.”
