Heritage Radio Network, a Brooklyn-based online radio station and podcast nonprofit focusing on food system advocacy, has announced RJ Bee as its new Executive Director. The appointment came after a national search recruitment firm Koya Partners.

As the co-founder of Osiris Media, an independent podcast network dedicated to music, Bee led a team of fifteen in content creation, revenue generation, and organizational growth. His leadership enabled Osiris to attract hundreds of thousands of monthly fans. Prior to his work at Osiris, Bee served as Senior Vice President at Hattaway Communications, where he was responsible for client service, business development, and strategy. He also held a role as Director of Operations at Global Situation Room, a PR firm specialized in thought leadership and crisis communications.

Liza Hamm, Chair of HRN’s Board of Directors, stated, “RJ’s experience creating outstanding content that inspires audiences and builds community makes him the ideal choice to be HRN’s next Executive Director. His passion for HRN and his entrepreneurial spirit will help drive a new wave of growth and impact for HRN and for the broader food system.”

Bee shared, “I’ve long admired HRN’s podcasts. There’s never been a more important time to elevate the voices, issues, and forces shaping our foodways and food systems, and I look forward to working with the HRN community to grow our reach and our impact in the years ahead.”
