Fox Comes From Canada To Detroit Public Radio

Detroit public radio station WDET 101.9 has announced the appointment of L. Adam Fox as Program Director. In his new role, Fox will oversee the development of news, music, and conversation programming.

Prior to joining WDET, Fox served as Program Director for Canada’s National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta, where he oversaw the implementation of the first permanent exhibition of Canada’s music and developed a wide range of programs spanning education, artist development, and live music. He has also held positions as Content Director for the CKUA Radio Network in Alberta and Station Manager and Music Programming Director for CJAM in Windsor, Ontario.

Zatina lauded Fox’s exceptional programming experience and leadership style, which she believes will enhance both staff and listener experiences. She noted, “WDET is on a fast track to excellence in all areas, and Adam will be steering our sound in a way that fully maximizes the community service we deliver.”

Expressing his excitement about his new role, Fox said, “I’m thrilled to be joining the team to support the critical mission of WDET!
