Political Relief For These Crazy Times

0

Let’s Get Civical is a new podcast on the More Banana Network made up of equal parts civics class and comedy show. Hosts Lizzie Stewart (a comedian) and Arden Walentowski (a campaign staffer and political strategist) unpack and repack political and government structures that led us to the cry for help that is our current political landscape. The pair will be joined by special guests like Ophira Eisenberg, Mara Wilson, Mike Houston, and Jolenta Greenberg. It’s like being in American Government class with your BFFs! But no exams. They promise!

Lizzie and Arden will be celebrating the launch of the podcast with a live show at Caveat in NYC on January 27, featuring special guests Rebecca O’Neal (Netflix, TBS Comics to Watch), Moss Perricone (Hasan Minhaj’s Patriot Act), Andrew Barbato (Story Pirates), Michelle Davis (So Many Friends & Pass the Aux), Ophira Eisenberg (NPR’s Ask Me Another, The Late Late Show), and Jolenta Greenberg (By The Book Podcast). Based in Brooklyn, More Banana was founded in early 2018 as a response to a gap in the podcasting world — a noticeable lack of women working in audio and podcast production, and a need for women to not doubt their opinions, interests, and expertise, even in media that does not highlight them as experts.
