(By Radio Ink Publisher Deborah Parenti) Last week, I had the honor of presenting the 24th Radio Wayne Awards at the Radio Show in Nashville. It was both an inspiring and humbling opportunity and a role I recently assumed as part of my duties as Radio Ink’s publisher.

In an annual tradition, the winners of the prestigious Radio Wayne Awards were presented by Radio Ink Publisher Deborah Parenti at the Radio Show Thursday morning, with Emmis Chairman/CEO Jeff Smulyan taking honors as America's Best Broadcaster for 2016.

On Thursday, September 22 at The Radio Show in Nashville, Radio Ink magazine will be introducing the industry to radio’s most successful Sales Managers, General Managers, Digital Sellers, and Account Executives. Thanks to the Radio Advertising Bureau, we are able to recognize these industry greats every year with awards named in honor of Wayne Cornils, who worked for the RAB for many years and was one of radio’s greatest ambassadors.
