On Tuesday night in Beverly Hills, Dana Cortez, host of Skyview Networks The Dana Cortez Show, accepted the 2022 Gracie Award for Nationally Syndicated Radio Personality. In 2018 Cortez became the first Latina to host a syndicated morning drive radio show.  

Jeff Adams has been named GM for Hometown Broadcasting's Portsmouth, Ohio, stations WNXT-FM, WNXT-AM, and WZZZ-FM. Adams spent the past seven years with West Virginia Radio as operations manager of their seven-station cluster in Charleston, and most recently, station manager of their threestations in Martinsburg.

Brian Mayfield has been promoted to the role of Executive Vice President of Ramsey Media, expanding his role to include the Ramsey Solutions Operating Board and Executive Committee involved in global initiatives company-wide.

Cumulus Media has appointed Nick Draeger to the position of Creative Imaging Director for Chicago Rock radio station 101 WKQX-FM. Draeger joins Cumulus from Entercom-Sacramento.

Radio One Philadelphia, in partnership with the City of Philadelphia and the Hip Hop Library will honor Philadelphia Radio and Hip-Hop Pioneer Wendy Clark, aka “Lady B” with a street renaming ceremony. She's been on the air for over 4 decades.

ESPN continues on down the simulcast road, and on Monday, August 13, at 1 p.m. ET, ESPN Radio’s weekday The Stephen A. Smith Show will join Golic and Wingo, The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, and The Will Cain Show on ESPNEWS, making the network the TV home of all four of ESPN’s weekday national radio simulcasts.

Callard begins work in the position of Chief Legal Officer on January 22. He succeeds Eric J. Dale, who has served in the role since 2015 and resigned to pursue an opportunity outside of the company.

Travis Daily has been named Region Senior VP of Programming for the Tampa region, which includes Sarasota. Daily will keep his position as PD for WFUS-FM in Tampa. Daily has consistently been on Radio Ink's Best Country PD list. iHeart has 13 radio stations in Tampa and Sarasota.

David Oldread has been appointed GM/Market Manager of Pamal Broadcasting Albany. Oldread comes to Pamal from Entercom, where he spent the past 11 years.

The Frank Ski Show with Nina Brown takes over afternoons August 3 on 96.3 WHUR. It's been a bit of a shuttle back-and-forth from WVEE in Atlanta to WHUR in DC for Ski.
