Alex Mac has been named Assistant Program Director for Alt Rocker ALT 106.3 in the Iowa capital. Mac will also continue to serve as the station’s Music Director as well as broadcast from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The 74-year old Steve Somers had been with the sports station all 34 years of its existence. On Wednesday WFAN announced two shows that will fill in the 7-hour nightly shift Somers covered.

The station is debuting a new morning show on April 1. Mack in the Morning with Letty B will star popular Miami on-air personality Mack and Los Angeles native co-host Letty B.

More details are coming out about the death of former Detroit Rock DJ John O'Leary. Several local reports out of Detroit say O'Leary was found dead Sunday, under his back porch buried under sheets, shingles and a wheelbarrow. Police suspect foul play and a roommate has been arrested.

SOS Radio/Las Vegas has hired Chalmer Harper as its new Music Director. Chalmer has been General Manager of KWND/KWFC in Springfield for the past decade. 

Vineeta Sawkar, long-time Twin Cities news veteran, is joining 830 WCCO. “The Morning News with Vineeta Sawkar” debuts January 3, 2022.

Flashpoint with Cherri Gregg has been expanded to four additional stations in Philadelphia. Already on KYW-AM, the program can now also be heard on WBEB-FM, WOGL-FM, and WTDY-FM, and will be broadcast on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT (WPHT-FM) beginning April 14.

Fox Radio News correspondent Jared Halpern has been elected Chairman of the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association. Halpern has been a member of the RTCA since 2010.

Award-winning radio personality Alana Lynn is the new midday on-air host for Country station Kissin’ 92.3/KIZN-FM in Boise, ID. Lynn joins Cumulus Boise from KMLE 107.9 in Phoenix, AZ, where she was Music Director and host.
