Audio ad and podcast platform Libsyn has announced the appointment of Charles "Chuck" Cargile as its new Chief Financial Officer. Cargile's has more than 25 years in executive leadership roles within publicly traded companies, with expertise in financial management.

Crista Media announced Wednesday that Jim Bouma, a 40-year veteran of Bellingham-based (KWPZ) PRAISE 106.5, died suddenly Tuesday. Bouma had most recently been serving as both Operations Manager and Morning Show co-host. The cause of death was not provided by the company.

Norman Davis, a veteran air talent known for his magic-mushroom-fueled overnight shows on San Francisco's KSAN during the 1970s, has passed away at the age of 88. Davis's career spanned 70 years across both AM and FM and almost every genre.

Brian Thomas is joining Townsquare as Operations Manager in Grand Rapids and to oversee the company’s 17 Classic Hits stations. Thomas has been PD at WCBS-FM New York, WLS-FM Chicago, KFRC San Francisco, B97 New Orleans, and most recently Cumulus/Atlanta.

Phillip March is the new PD for Urban AC station WUHT-FM/Hot 107.7, “Birmingham’s R&B Music Leader.” March was previously Director of Urban Programming for Alpha Media’s Louisville stations WGZB-FM, WMJM-FM, and WGHL-FM.

Orlando Rosa has been named PD for iHeart's El Patron 105.3 in Atlanta. Rosa joins the Atlanta market from Rivera Communications where he was operations manager.

Bill Lynch, a former anchor of CBS News Radio's World News Roundup and a veteran journalist, died at 77. He joined CBS News as a correspondent in 1981 and became the anchor of World News Roundup from 1985 until 1999, during which time the program was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.

The Pittsburgh Steelers Radio Network broadcast team is changing for the upcoming season. Sideline analyst Craig Wolfley is taking over as Color Analyst.

They’re folks “in the know” and that should make for very informative radio. Former Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin and Fresno County Supervisor Andreas Borgeas will host new daily features heard on K-Jewel 105.5 and 1430 KYNO beginning July 10.

The Radio Advertising Bureau has hired Sharon Friedlander as its new VP of Insights, effective January 2. She'll be replacing Annette Malave who's leaving to pursue other interests on January 11. Most recently, Friedlander served as partner/director at media planning agency MEC, with previous roles at Group M and OMD.
