Meruelo Media has hired Haz Montana as VP of Audio Brands putting him in charge of programming for KPWR-FM, KLOS-FM, KDAY/KDEY 93.5 and Latin Rhythmic Breakout CALI 93.9 in Los Angeles. Montana moves to Meruelo from Univision in L.A. where he was VP of Content.

Connie Walker, a longtime public radio leader and GM of North Carolina Public Radio - WUNC has died. The station’s acting president, Nora Casper, said Walker had been on medical leave since February but the specifics about her cause of death were not shared by the family.

The K-LOVE Christian radio network is adding Lauree Austin in June. Prior to joining K-LOVE, Lauree was part of Lauree & Doug on KCBI-FM, Dallas-Ft. Worth.

Shannon Bomia has joined Program Director and Morning Host Zannie as the newest member of the BOUNCE Morning Show in Detroit. Bomia was the winner of the recent ‘The Big Break’ on-air talent search conducted by the Beasley Group’s 105.1 The BOUNCE Morning Show.

The Dan Bongino Show is added to KTTH-AM line-up. The show debuts on the Bonneville News Talker May 24. Bongino said, “I'm honored KTTH decided to go with the show. All I can do is bring a high-quality product, put a ton of work into it and I promise, I will."

Danny Miller is the new afternoon host on Classic Hits 94-5 Bay FM. Miller joined the Alpha station 16 years ago. GM David Drutz said, “Danny is such a beloved voice throughout the South Bay that it made perfect sense to have him become an integral part of the daily listening of KBAY’s devoted audience.”

Radio One Atlanta’s Praise 102.5has hired Jekalyn Carr for middays. Carr is a Grammy Award nominated, Stellar Award and Dove Award-winning recording artist.

After 35 years in syndication, Radio Hall of Fame inductee, Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton has announced his retirement from all three of his national radio programs. Hamilton will keep his gig as weekday afternoon host in iHeart's KTU-FM in New York City.

Abby Krizner has been named Program Director for 105.9 The X. Krizner began her career at the station in 2008, where she most recently served as an Assistant Program Director and Morning Show Host.

Comedian J.J. Williamson - “J.J. from The Sipp” - has been hired to join host DeDe McGuire and co-host Lady Jade on the nationally syndicated show, Dede In The Morning. as its new comedian and co-host.
