Marlon "DJ Thump" Rice, Morning Personality at Beasley Media Group's Jammin' 105.7 (KOAS), was honored by the NFL Alumni of Las Vegas as a Celebrity Ambassador for their President Leadership Council. The NFL recognizes Rice's positive impact on youth through broadcasting.

Cumulus Media Indianapolis has announced Laura Steele is being raised from nights to afternoons on classic hits 104.5 WJJK starting May 1st. Before moving to Indy, Steele worked on-air in Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Indianapolis, Nashville, and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Legendary St. Louis Cardinals radio broadcaster and former player Mike Shannon passed away on Saturday, April 29 at the age of 83, the Cardinals report. Shannon spent over 60 years with the Cardinals organization, including 50 as a member of the team's radio broadcasts.

Cross cluster changes are refreshing Connoisseur Media Connecticut's six stations in several departments. Jennifer Grullon joins STAR 99.9 (WEZN) from Burlington, VT as an afternoon drive co-host with Kevin Begley. Ed Oliveira and Andrew Krause will also each get promotions.

Cumulus Media Indianapolis has appointed Jill Testerman, known on-air as Taylor, as the Midday Host for 95.5 WFMS. Testerman will also serve as the Digital Content Coordinator for Cumulus Indianapolis' six-station group. She starts her new duties on May 1.

Syndicated morning show Broadway and Friends has a new home base. Audacy Pittsburgh's Y108 (WSDY) is bringing the entire show to the market from St. Louis. As part of the change, Maria D’Antonio moves to middays and Cadillac Jack hosts PM drive.

As Westwood One's President of Sales Ron Russo departs the company to pursue other opportunities, Brandon Berman has been named his replacement. Berman has been with Westwood One since 2005, starting as an account executive. His last promotion was to EVP/Sales and Sports Partnerships.

After more than 13 years on 99.9 The Fan (WRAL), Joe Giglio and Joe Ovies were released by Capitol Broadcasting Company following their show on Wednesday. Ovies broke the news in a tweet and WRAL later confirmed the change on their site, leading to a national response.

Mike O’Reilly is stepping into mornings at Cumulus Kansas City’s Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO. The spot was recently vacated by 33-year KC radio veteran Kelly Urich who is retiring. O'Reilly joins current co-host Mackenzie on May 1. He has served the cluster in both PD and digital roles.

NYC hip-hop staple Hot 97 is launching Tap in With TT with the station’s VP and Music Director TT Torrez. Starting Thursday, April 27, the midday show also features DJ Enuff and Drewski. The two will add their own signature segments like the “It’s Enuff Midday Mix”.
