On Monday, one month after she was nominated, the NAB released a not-so-supportive statement on the President's nomination of Gigi Sohn to fill an open seat on the FCC. This all has to do with an illegal TV streaming service the NAB says Sohn was a part of.

The FCC's Chief Information Officer David Bray said the Commission has been dealing with multiple distributed denial-of-service attacks in its Electronic Comment Filing System which have caused delays for consumers who want to file valid comments. The Commission did not specify the problem was caused by Late Night TV host John Oliver who's been pushing his viewers to the site over Chairman Pai's plan to rollback Net Neutrality.

Comedians Mo Amer and Azhar Usman have started their own Luminary Original podcast, Joking Not Joking. The show, now streaming, tackles significant questions like simulation theory, the nature of money, and life after death.

Sopranos actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler and musician Jenna Parris have rolled out their new podcast, Mama Said with Jamie and Jenna. It's the first show launched under the “LadyGang on PodcastOne Network.”

Last week, Alpha Media named Ernie Martinez National Director of Digital Content. Martinez has come a long way from his first gig in radio when he was 19 and a producer for Radio Disney. As the head of Alpha's Digital Division, Martinez is now responsible for the digital strategy for hundreds of Alpha's radio stations, and that includes finding ways to bring in digital revenue.

Live-streaming broadcasts and on-demand audio from all Cox and Bonneville stations are being added to Entercom's Radio.com. The announcement follows Radio.com's recent content distribution agreements with CNN and Bloomberg Media.
