Saga is selling its TV stations in the Joplin, MO – Pittsburg, KS and the Victoria, TX television markets for an aggregate price of approximately $66.6 million. Saga is also buying WCKN (FM), WMXZ (FM), WXST (FM), WAVF (FM), WSPO (AM), W261DG and W257BQ in Charleston, SC and WVSC (FM), WLHH (FM), WALI (FM), W256CB and W293BZ, serving the Hilton Head and Beaufort, SC radio markets, from Apex Media Corporation for $23.0 million.

NPR has selected Ayesha Rascoe to host its Sunday morning edition of Weekend Edition Sunday, which is heard on 794 public radio stations. Before joining NPR, Rascoe worked for Reuters.

The drama continues between Cumulus Dallas' sports/talk The Ticket and former hosts Dan McDowell and Jake Kemp. A US District Court has ordered the duo to stop posting new episodes of their Patreon-based podcast amid claims of violated noncompetes.

Also at the Radio Ink Hispanic Radio Conference in Miami, FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel spoke about her trip to Puerto Rico last week. Puerto Rico was hit hard by Hurricane Maria six months ago and is still recovering. Rosenworcel said she took some time to visit several radio stations. And, she walked away saying this: "Radio is remarkable."

Mike Greenberg's new 12P-2P show on ESPN Radio begins August 17. It will be called Greeny, not The Mike Greenberg Show as ESPN had originally announced. It's been three years since Greenberg left the popular Mike & Mike morning show for Television.

Denny McKeown, a Cincinnati-based broadcaster whose horticulture show was once syndicated on stations across the Midwest, died on Christmas Day at the age of 81. The cause of death was not immediately known; his passing was first reported by a local newspaper.
