The translator is K285EU, which Cox purchased from Houston Christian Broadcasters out of Houston. The price for the translator was $350,000, and Bill Whitley from Media Services Group was the broker for the seller.

Auto Sales Surge in February

Radio's biggest advertising category had another huge month. Americans bought or leased 1.34 million vehicles in February, which translates to an annual sales rate of 17.5 million. Ford sold 20.2% more new vehicles in February than a year earlier, Fiat Chrysler was up 12%, Toyota's sales rose 4.1%, Nissan posted a 10.5% increase and Honda sales jumped 12.8%. GM sales fell 1.5%. Low gas prices and 29 days in February helped fuel the strong month.

Radio One announced Radio Group President Chris Wegmann (pictured) is retiring and Deon Levingston is joining the company in a regional position. Wegmann's retirement date is April 1, 2016. Levingston returns as the GM in Indianapolis and Regional Vice President of Detroit and St. Louis.
