Spotify is launching a new documentary podcast about artists who break barriers in music and culture. Season one is about musician Sylvester and will document the illustrious musical career and impact of the genre bending icon.

Brian Heffernan will serve as interim executive editor of the St. Louis Public Radio newsroom. Heffernan has been the digital and special projects editor at STLPR since 2018. The position was held previously for over six years by Shula Neuman.

For years, advertising agencies have been avoiding certain content on radio to shield their clients from controversy. Spotify says it is joining forces with a company called Integral Ad Science do something similar for podcast advertisers.

In June 2020, Radio Cleveland filed an application to transfer control of WAID-FM in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Then in September 2020, Radio Cleveland filed an additional transfer of control application for its remaining stations. However, they made one pretty big mistake, according to The FCC.

Shula Neuman is no longer the News Director at St. Louis Public Radio after a 6-year run. She was promoted in 2016 after 3 years as the station's health, science, education and race editor. No explanation was given by the station for Neuman's departure.
