Yesterday we reported about how SiriusXM took aim at radio in an e-mail marketing piece that said consumers were wasting their time with AM/FM Radio. Late in the day, the RAB struck back. Here's how the organization responded to the Satellite company.
BIN’s Tanita Myers Passes Away
The cause of death was not immediately known. Black Information Network President Tony Coles notified his team of Tanita's passing in a memo Wednesday. She died Wednesday morning at the age of 49 after suffering a medical emergency.
Michigan Radio’s Stephen Schram Retiring
Schram is the Executive Director & General Manager of Michigan Radio. He'll last day on the job will be November 30th. Schram was personally recruited by University of Michigan President Mary Sue Coleman in 2006.
Beasley Announces New Afternoon Show on The Fanatic
It's called The Best Show Ever? and will feature Tyrone Johnson, Ricky Bottalico, Hunter Brody and Jennifer Scordo. The new show on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia takes over the 2 p.m - 6 p.m. slot previously occupied by The Mike Missanelli Show.
IBA Announces 5th National Cash Contest
The contest will begin September 15th, according to IBA President Ron Stone. So far over $180,000 has been given away during the previous four contests. The deadline to register for the Fall contest is August 15th and you must be a member station to take part.
