As the 2022 World Series gets underway, Audacy has launched Baseball Isn’t Boring, a new daily podcast that will dive into baseball's hottest topics and headlines, both on and off the field. The show is hosted by Audacy's Rob Bradford - a longtime baseball columnist, author and broadcaster for WEEI in Boston.

Ron deCastro is the new Market Manager for Beasley Media Group’s Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg-based radio properties. deCastro will oversee WLLD-FM, WQYK-FM, WRBQ-FM, WYUU-FM, WPBB-FM and WHFS-AM. He replaces Steve Triplett  who exits the company.

Audacy is launching a new morning show on SportsRadio 94WIP (WIP-FM) in Philadelphia. Midday hosts Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie will move to morning drive when Angelo Cataldi retires at the end of the current NFL Football season.

During a ceremony Wednesday, Talk Radio 77 WABC dedicated its main studio to Bernard (Bernie) McGuirk, WABC's morning co-host who passed away earlier this month from prostate cancer. Wednesday would have been McGuirk’s 65th birthday.

iHeartMedia announced on Thursday that Jon Zellner has been named President of Programming Operations and Digital Music for iHeartRadio. Zellner will manage the programming, content and strategy for iHeart's digital channels and playlists while continuing to oversee iHeartMedia’s programming operations at its 850 local radio stations.

The Miami Herald (subscription) is reporting that Audacy's WQAM-AM will lose the NFL's Miami Dolphins to iHeartMedia starting next season. iHeart owns two sports-talk stations in South Florida, WGAM-AM and WINZ-AM. Which station the games will move to was not part of the report.
